The furore over the repeal of Section 59 was utterly unnecessary. Every person who got very excited about it, either doesn't understand how our law works or they didn't know the facts. There are numerous laws on the books we all break every day and aren't prosecuted for unless we overstep the mark. The anti-porn law passed by National under Jenny Shipley is even worse. We're all guilty all the time. ..whether we know it or not.
Steve, you seem to mix up fact with opinion. Are you trying to say that you and Sue Bradford know exactly how the law works and 80% of the population including many lawyers do no know how the law works?
What qualifications have you? Are you a lawyer? Are you a parent and if so have how many children how you of each sex?
